About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Prior Authorization/Medical Assistant for our clinical office. This dual-role position supports both administrative and clinical responsibilities, ensuring seamless care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Duties:
Perform and coordinate prior authorizations and pre-certifications for both diagnostic and surgical procedures.
Verify insurance coverage, ensuring patients are informed and prepared before their appointments or procedures.
Schedule surgeries and appointments.
Collect copayments and outstanding balances.
Clinical Duties:
Assist physicians with direct patient care, focusing on maintaining a high standard of care and compassion.
Take and record vital signs.
Prepare patients for exams, ensuring they feel comfortable and well-informed.
Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms.
Support physicians during procedures.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compassionate demeanor and commitment to patient-centered care.
