About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Prior Authorization/Medical Assistant for our clinical office. This dual-role position supports both administrative and clinical responsibilities, ensuring seamless care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Duties:

  • Perform and coordinate prior authorizations and pre-certifications for both diagnostic and surgical procedures.

  • Verify insurance coverage, ensuring patients are informed and prepared before their appointments or procedures.

  • Schedule surgeries and appointments.

  • Collect copayments and outstanding balances.

Clinical Duties:

  • Assist physicians with direct patient care, focusing on maintaining a high standard of care and compassion.

  • Take and record vital signs.

  • Prepare patients for exams, ensuring they feel comfortable and well-informed.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms.

  • Support physicians during procedures.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Compassionate demeanor and commitment to patient-centered care.
