Dr. Warden is a proud graduate of De La Salle High School in New Orleans. He went on to earn a degree in engineering from Tulane University before attending Tulane University School of Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1989 and became board certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Warden also served as the Cancer Liaison Physician for the state of Mississippi. Since 1993, he has shared his expertise as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine.

Dr. Warden’s impressive career includes numerous leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels. His dedication to advancing medicine is evident through his service as Chairman of the Department of Surgery, Chief of Staff, and President of the Mississippi Young Physicians Section. Additionally, he has represented his colleagues as a delegate to the AMA Young Physicians Section.

Dr. Warden is a pioneer in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgical techniques. After 14 years of practice in South Mississippi, where he established the region’s leading general surgery program, he joined the Surgical Specialists of Louisiana in 2003.
