Our Lady of the Lake Surgical Hospital in Slidell, Louisiana, is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse (PRN) to join our mission of providing exceptional care to our community in St. Tammany Parish.
About the Role
As an integral member of our surgical team, the OR Nurse (PRN) serves as the patient’s advocate, working closely with patients, families, and colleagues to deliver high-quality care. This position emphasizes advanced nursing skills and collaborative teamwork in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the surgical team, ensuring patient advocacy throughout procedures.
Leverage expertise in aseptic technique, infection control, and emergency protocols to maintain a safe operating environment.
Manage general operating room procedures with precision and care.
Provide advanced-level nursing care tailored to the needs of patients and their families.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we’re looking for candidates who bring both experience and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
Required:
Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program.
Minimum of 2 years of OR Nursing experience.
A valid Louisiana RN license.
Current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
Preferred:
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
