Admissions Representative (PRN) – Admitting

Ensures the accuracy of patient information, obtains all necessary forms and upfront payments, and guides the patient through the admissions process. Reviews insurance information to verify the correct coordination of benefits, explains financial responsibility to patients, and collects any required co-payments, coinsurance, and/or deductibles. High School graduate or equivalent.  Two years experience working with insurance in a medical setting.

Coder  (Full-Time) –Medical Records

Under general supervision ensures quality of coding for all health information records for inpatient and outpatient procedures in accordance with the official guidelines for coding and reporting.   Evaluate medical records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with CMS Guidelines. Code Charts under the ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, HCPCS, and CPT code sets. Strong knowledge of coding rules, guidelines for state and federal agencies.

MRI/CT Technician  (Full Time) - Radiology

The Radiology Tech performs all radiology, MRI, and CT procedures. Produces quality images in three imaging modalities. Performs radiologic procedures and related functions producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. Graduate of an accredited of Radiologic Technology. Minimum two (2) years of CT and MRI experience is preferred. Must possess active and current Radiology Technologist License in the state of Louisiana, ARRT and Basic Life Support (BLS) .

OR Technician (Full Time & PRN) - Surgery

Responsible for the safe transport of patients and the correct handling/transport of blood products, specimens, X-rays, equipment and supplies, a clean surgical environment and other patient care related duties in the OR suite. Also responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, delivery and distribution of instruments and supplies within the surgical suites. Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technology institute. Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) and CPR certification required.

OR Nurse (Full Time) – Surgery

Acts as the patient's advocate and works as a member of the surgical team is knowledgeable in the areas of aseptic technique, infection control, emergency procedures, and general operating room procedures. Functions as an RN to meet patient and family care needs.  Works under normal supervision providing nursing care to patients at an advanced level of practice.  Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Minimum of 2 years OR Nursing experience preferred. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license, current BLS and ACLS certification. PALS preferred.

Video Tech/Sterile Processing Tech (Full Time) - Surgery

 Patient Care Tech (Full Time) – Med Surg

Responsible to perform a variety of uncomplicated tasks in care of patients in hospital, under direction of nursing and medical staff. Works under the general supervision of the Registered Nurses providing professional nursing care according to established procedures, protocols and regulations. Graduate from high school is preferred. 1 year experience in Med/Surg preferred. Current certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. BLS certification required.

LPN (Full Time) - Med Surg

Responsible for the care of patients, administers medication and treatments as ordered by the physician.  Coordinates care with other disciplines such as physical therapy, respiratory therapy, lab and pharmacy.  Responsible to participate in a professional manner in all aspects of patient care. Assists in the nursing care of the patient as needed. Assists physicians with documentation as needed. Requires a Degree from an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing and 2 years’ experience. Excellent computer skills, order entry and nursing documentation. Current Louisiana LPN license. Current certification in Basic Life Support required and ACLS preferred.

Staff ICU RN (Full Time) – Med Surg

Responsible for the care of patients, administers medication and treatments as ordered by the physician. Coordinates care with other disciplines such as physical therapy, respiratory therapy, lab and pharmacy. Responsible to participate in a professional manner in all aspects of patient care. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. (Associates or Bachelors).Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg Nursing experience and 1 year ICU experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license and a current CPR and ACLS certification. PALS preferred.

Registered Nurse (PRN) – Pre-Op/Phase II, Pre Admit, Pain Management

Responsibility to formulate and execute the nursing care for patients of all ages in the Pre-Op, Phase II, Pre Admit, and Pain Management areas to ensure the patient receives the highest quality of care, and their safety is ensured according to policy and procedure. Responsible for patient assessments, medication reconciliation and patient histories via phone and in person, and diagnostic testing prior to day of surgery. Provides patient teaching within the realm of professional nursing practice to provide pre-op instructions for the patient and family. Provides conscious sedation under the direction of procedural physician, and evaluates & monitors patient post-procedure.   Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Minimum of 1 year Nursing experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license, current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.

EVS/Floor Tech – Environmental Services PT

Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors & other assigned areas of the facility in a neat & sanitary manner. Responsible to continuously make rounds of the hospital to determine floor care needs. Strips old floor finish, prepares and recoats hard floor surfaces. 1-2 years experience in hospital/medical clinic cleaning. Previous floor care experience preferred.

EVS Aide– (Full Time) Environmental Services

Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors & other assigned areas of the facility in a neat & sanitary manner. Work also includes distributing clean linens to user departments and maintaining stock levels on nursing floors. 2 years’ experience in hospital/medical clinic cleaning.
