Medical Lab Tech (Full Time & PRN) - LAB

Perform testing primarily in accordance with established laboratory policy and procedure. Primary responsibilities include performing and evaluating analytical tests. Associate's degree (A.A.) in an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program. Six months experience as a Technologist in a lab. Current certification or registration as an MLT (ASCP), CLT (NCA) or equivalent Valid and current State of Louisiana license as a Medical Lab Technologist. Phlebotomy skills required.

 

Admissions Representative (PRN) – Admitting

Ensures the accuracy of patient information, obtains all necessary forms and upfront payments, and guides the patient through the admissions process. Reviews insurance information to verify the correct coordination of benefits, explains financial responsibility to patients, and collects any required co-payments, coinsurance, and/or deductibles. High School graduate or equivalent.  Two years experience working with insurance in a medical setting.

 

Director of Quality, Risk & Infection Prevention (Full Time) – Administration

Develops and implements the Quality Plan. Assesses quality improvement/risk management needs within the hospital and provides guidance for quality improvement/risk management activities. Manages the functions of quality improvement and provides support and education to staff. Educates staff on QA policies, procedures, systems, and objectives. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. (Associates or Bachelors). Minimum of 2 years nursing experience and 1 year of recent quality improvement in a healthcare environment. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license.

 

OR Technician (Full Time) – Surgery

Responsible for the safe transport of patients and the correct handling/transport of blood products, specimens, X-rays, equipment and supplies, a clean surgical environment and other patient care related duties in the OR suite. Also responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, delivery and distribution of instruments and supplies within the surgical suites. Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technology institute. Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) preferred within 120 days of hire or equivalent experience in lieu of CST certification. BLS certification required.

 

Video Tech/Sterile Processing Tech (Full Time) - Surgery

Responsible for the safe transport of patients and the correct handling/transport of blood products,  specimens, X-rays, equipment and supplies, a clean surgical environment and other patient care related duties in the OR suite. Also responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, delivery and distribution of instruments and supplies within the surgical suites. Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technology institute. Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) and BLS certification required.

 

Staff RN (Full Time Days) – Med Surg

Responsible for the care of patients, administers medication and treatments as ordered by the physician. Coordinates care with other disciplines such as physical therapy, respiratory therapy, lab and pharmacy. Responsible to participate in a professional manner in all aspects of patient care. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. (Associates or Bachelors).Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg Nursing experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license and a current CPR and ACLS certification. PALS preferred.

 

Staff ICU RN Nights (Full Time Nights) – Med Surg

Responsible for the care of patients, administers medication and treatments as ordered by the physician. Coordinates care with other disciplines such as physical therapy, respiratory therapy, lab and pharmacy. Responsible to participate in a professional manner in all aspects of patient care. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. (Associates or Bachelors). Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg Nursing experience and 1 year ICU experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license and a current CPR and ACLS certification. PALS preferred.

 

PACU Nurse – PACU (PRN)

Provides intensive observation and care for the post-operative patient for which an anesthetic agent or conscious sedation was used. Maintains patient documentation.  Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. (Associates or Bachelors). Minimum of 1 year PACU Nursing experience.  Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license and a current CPR, ACLS and PALS certification.

 

Floor Tech – Environmental Services FT

Responsible to continuously make rounds of the hospital to determine floor care needs. Strips old floor finish, prepares and recoats hard floor surfaces. 1-2 years experience in hospital/medical clinic cleaning. Previous floor care experience preferred.

 

Buyer (Full Time) – Materials Management

Responsible for overall purchasing, receiving, storing and stocking of all supplies. Works in conjunction with the Materials Manager to maintain adequate and appropriate inventory levels and assists in conducting quarterly physical inventory process. One year materials supply chain experience in a hospital, surgery center or high volume medical office.

 

Pre Op Nurse(PRN) – Perioperative

Responsibility to formulate and execute the nursing care for patients of all ages in the Pre-Op area to ensure the patient receives the highest quality of care, and their safety is ensured according to policy and procedure. Performs thorough and accurate continual patient assessment, anticipating potential problems and reporting pertinent assessments to the anesthesiologist, supervisor, and/or surgeon appropriately. Prepares patients for surgery by providing pre-operative and post-operative instructions. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Minimum 1 year Pre-Op Nursing experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN License, current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.

 

Respiratory Therapist (PRN) – Respiratory Therapy

Assists in the delivery of respiratory care and procedures including assessment. Maintains a high level knowledge base to be an excellent resource to other staff therapists, nursing, and other personnel as necessary. Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program. One year prior experience required. Current licensure of Respiratory Therapist in the State of Louisiana. Current Basic Life Support, PALS and ACLS certification required.

 

Wound Care Nurse (PRN) - Med Surg

Identifies injuries, treats, dresses, and performs the subsequent therapy for the wounds to normally heal. Serves as a clinical resource to staff on issues pertaining to patients with acute and chronic wounds, pressure ulcers, ostomies, fistulas and incontinence.  Provides direct patient care for evaluation, treatment, and education purposes.  Responsible for the care of patients, administers medication and treatments as ordered by the physician.  Coordinates care with other disciplines such as physical therapy, respiratory therapy, lab and pharmacy. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. (Associates or Bachelors). Minimum of 2 years would care nursing experience. Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license and a current BLS. Completion of an accredited Wound Ostomy Continence ET Nurse Program. ACLS and PALS preferred.

 

Inventory Clerk (Full Time) - Surgery

Responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling surgical instruments and equipment. Also responsible for sterilization, decontamination, delivery and distribution of instruments and supplies within the surgical suites. Certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) preferred.

 

Collector (Full Time) – Patient Accounting

Performs daily insurance and third-party payer collection activities associated with the timely collection and resolution of accounts receivable. Reviews denials and submits appeals following payor guidelines. Three years related experience.

 

Pain Management Nurse – Pain Management (Part Time)

Performs and/or coordinates the pre-op assessment & education, provides moderate sedation under the direction of procedural physician, and evaluates & monitors patient post-procedure.  Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. (Associates or Bachelors). Minimum of 3 years nursing experience.  Must possess a valid Louisiana RN license, current BLS and ACLS certification.

 

Orderly (Full Time) – Surgery

Responsible for providing direct and indirect care of the patient under the direction of nursing staff. Transports patients, beds, lab specimens, blood products, and other medical items to various areas of the hospital, assists in cleaning and disinfecting operating rooms, assists with ensuring rooms and carts are stocked with supplies. High School graduate or equivalent.  One year prior experience preferred.  Basic life support certification required.
